White flower Oil with Himalayan Spikenard

Surabhi brings a gentle floral lift, prized for the way it brightens atmosphere and restores calm. Indian women have long refreshed rooms the way they refreshed the body: with flowers, water, and air made lighter. In verandahs rinsed at dawn and inner rooms set for evening prayer, jasmine, lily, and chrysanthemum were brought in to brighten the atmosphere, sharpen mental clarity, and restore a sattvic calm that made thinking feel clean again. Jasmine was favoured for its quiet ease, often linked with calm, steady thoughts. Lily carried a cool freshness, associated with composure and emotional lift. Chrysanthemum held a practical grace: in traditional preparations, certain forms such as pyrethrum were used to deter mosquitoes and insects without harshness, keeping indoor life breathable. In the Charaka Samhita, environment and respiration are treated with seriousness, recognising that the quality of air around us can shape comfort and inner lucidity. Surabhi belongs to the months of congestion and fatigue, when one wants the head to feel lighter and the breath less burdened. It was also turned to in moments of headache or dizziness, when freshness and upliftment were sought to steady the inner state. The intention is not drama, but relief that arrives quietly. The blend is held in balance. Jasmine softens. Lily clears. Chrysanthemum refreshes and protects. Surabhi offers no guarantee, only a ritual of renewal: a room made brighter, a mind made clearer, and a home returned to its natural ease.
